Wilson Manufacturing Co. Announces the Retirement of Visionary Leader, Matt Wilson
We are proud to share the remarkable journey of our CEO, Matt Wilson, as he steps into retirement, leaving behind a legacy of innovation and dedication at Wilson Manufacturing. Matt’s journey in the industry began at the age of 12, working alongside his father, John Wilson, a former machinist at Mark Andy and the founder of Allied Gear.
After a distinguished tenure in the Marines, Matt joined forces with his father to launch Wilson Manufacturing in 1979. His journey over the years, alongside his wife, Missy Wilson, has been marked by a relentless passion for the industry and an unwavering commitment to customer excellence.
One of Matt’s most telling anecdotes dates back to the day he and Missy brought their first child home. Despite planning to take time off, they faced an urgent call from a customer in crisis. Demonstrating their dedication, Matt flew to Dallas to personally resolve the issue, ensuring the customer’s business remained intact. This incident epitomizes the couple’s dedication to their clients.
Matt and Missy’s vision of nurturing a family legacy within the business is now a reality as their children, Christopher Wilson and Michelle Wilson-Heath, continue this tradition. Each with over 20 years of work experience at the company as well as advanced educations, Christopher and Michelle bring a wealth of fresh perspectives to drive Wilson Manufacturing into an exciting new era of growth and innovation.
As Matt transitions into a well-deserved retirement, we are thrilled to announce Paul Karez as the new CEO. With 35 years of experience at Wilson Manufacturing, Paul’s profound understanding of our business, combined with the fresh perspectives of Christopher and Michelle, assures us that the company’s future is both secure and promising.
While we will deeply miss Matt’s leadership, his future endeavors, particularly his commitment to Lifewaters™, inspiring and aiding paralyzed veterans and others through adaptive scuba diving, remind us of the remarkable integrity and dedication he has consistently demonstrated in guiding our company for decades.
At Wilson Manufacturing, we remain committed to our legacy of customer satisfaction and industry excellence. We are excited for this new chapter and assure our customers and partners that our core values and service standards will continue to be the cornerstone of our business.
